We are pleased to announce that attorney Abtin Mehdizadegan has been named as a new Director of Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C.! Abtin joined the Firm in 2013. Since that time, his years of service have made significant contributions to the Firm and its clients. Abtin is no stranger to hard work and he dedicates his practice to traditional management-side labor and employment defense, general litigation, and appellate advocacy in state and federal courts. Given his commitment to excellence in the practice of law, Abtin has received the Spirit of Maine Award from the University of Maine, his alma mater (2010), for his professional accomplishments and the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award (2017) by the Volunteer Organization of the Center for Arkansas Legal Services for his representation of an indigent client before the Arkansas Supreme Court. Abtin’s accomplishments have also been recognized by the Mid-South Super Lawyers for his dedication to employment law (2018); Arkansas Business magazine as a member of its Class of “20 in their 20s, the New Influentials” (2017); by HR Professionals magazine as a Rising Star in Employment Law (2015-18); by Arkansas Life magazine in its Top Attorneys feature (2016). Prior to joining the Firm, Abtin graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law (2013), where he served as a member of the National Trial Team and as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. In addition to his practice, Abtin is engaged in numerous civic organizations, and he also serves as a member of the Bowen School’s Adjunct Faculty, where he teaches Employment Law to upper-level law students.
